Rosangella Leote is a multimedia artist/researcher; Associate Professor with Habilitation in Media Art (Unesp); Post-doctorate in Media Art (Open University - Lisbon-PT); PhD in Communication Sciences Radio and Television (USP); Master of Arts (UNICAMP); Bachelor of Visual Arts (UFRGS). She was a visiting professor at the University of Seville (2022/2023 - FAPESP Grant). She is the Vice-Director of the Institute of Arts (Unesp). Member of Scientific/Editorial Committees: ARTECH - International Conference on Digital Arts (Portugal since 2009), BR::AC- Barcelona Recerca Art Creació (Journal BA since 2013), Valise (RS since 2011); CITAR Journal of Science and Technology of the arts (PT from 2009 to 2016), Galáxia (SP from 2006 to 2016), Technology and Society (PR from 2013 to 2015); is a founding member of the Association Artech-International (2012 - Portugal); Director of Research Groups: GIIP - "Interinstitutional and International Research Group on Convergences between Art, Science and Technology" registered at CNPq and certified by UNESP (since 2010), with six lines of research, and the "Research Group in Multimedia" from 2001 to 2009 (PUC-SP); member collaborator in the research groups HUM1045: laboratório Arte, Ciência, Tecnologia y Sociedad (FBA US/ES); "Praxis and Poiesis: from practice to artistic theory" (UA PT since 2018); Realities (ECA-USP) and Art and Technology (CAL-LABART -UFSM/RS/BR); BR::AC (Barcelona Investigación: Arte y Creación/ UB from 2012 to 2018). She is vice coordinator of the Graduate Program in Arts-PPGA-Institute of Arts at UNESP (2013-2017 and 2021); served as Head of the Arts Department (IA/UNESP) from 2018 to 2019; coordinated the Bachelor's and Degree in Visual Arts - Instituto de Artes at UNESP. She was a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow from 2007 to 2011. She is an Ad Hoc reviewer for Capes and FAPESP. She was a member of the Deliberative Council of ANPAP (National Association of Researchers in Arts) as part of the Committee on Artistic Poetics. She has been working with Interactive Multimedia Installations together with the SCIArts-Equipe Interdisciplinar group (Sergio Motta Award 2000 and 2005) of which she has been a member since its origins (1995). She acts and directs individual and collective technoperformances. She makes sculptures, art installations and interactive objects also videos (Best Experimental Video at the 2nd FESTLATINOBA Festival de Cyne and y Vídeo Latinoamericano Argentina 2004). Her current research involves multisensoriality and multimodality, based on neuroscience, also covering technologies and assistive interfaces for the arts. Predominate in the disciplines she teaches in Graduate, Undergraduate and Specialization, the contents related to art-science-technology, including hypermedia and digital video languages, animation, music video and 3d computing. She has completed more than 235 orientations, including Post-Doctoral supervision. She has participated in over 300 examining boards (all academic levels). Coordinates a international research network, linked to the GIIP research group, with official partnerships between UNESP and the Universities: Linz (ULinz-AU), Barcelona (UB-ES), Vic/Cataluña (UVIC-ES), Aveiro (UA - PT) and Seville (US-ES), in addition to some collaborations with professors from the Javeriana (UJ - CO) and Berlin (UB-AL) Universities; with ongoing partnerships between research groups in Brasília (UNB-BR); Goiânia (UFG - BR); Santa Maria (UFSM - BR); São Paulo (USP-BR) and Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ - BR). The network was part of the UNESP PRINT-CAPES project (687451P), within the theme Plural Societies (Assistive Interfaces for the Arts/GIIP project). She is the author of the book ARTECIÊNCIARTE (Editora UNESP 2015).
