Birthplace: Brazil

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Ilha Solteira campus (2002), a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution (2005), and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2008). During his doctoral studies, he undertook a research internship at the Institut FEMTO-ST, Université de Franche-Comté (Besançon, France), supported by the EGIDE program and funded by the Centre National d'Études Spatiales (CNES/France). He served as a faculty member at the State University of Western Paraná (UNIOESTE), Foz do Iguaçu campus, from March 2008 to February 2012. Since 2012, he has been part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UNESP Ilha Solteira campus, where he currently holds the position of Full Professor (since 2025). He obtained the academic title of Livre-Docente (Habilitation) in Mechanical Systems Dynamics from the University of São Paulo (UNESP) in 2015. He was a FAPESP Young Researcher (20122016), coordinator of the Undergraduate Program in Mechanical Engineering at UNESP (20152018), and coordinator of the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering at UNESP/Ilha Solteira from June 2021 to March 2024. He has completed several short-term research stays as a visiting professor at institutions including Université de Liège (Belgium, 2013), Institut FEMTO-ST (France, 2014 and 2022), Arts et Métiers Paris (2017), Universidad Nacional de Cuyo Mendoza (Argentina, 2023), Universidade Lusófona Lisbon (2022 and 2023), and the EIPHI Graduate School Université Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (2022).
