BSc in Chemistry (1993), MSc in Chemistry (1995), and PhD in Chemistry (2000) from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). Completed postdoctoral fellowships at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo (IQSC-USP, 2001-2003) and at the University of Coimbra (Portugal, 2015-2016).Currently, is an Associate Professor (MS 5.1) with full-time dedication to teaching and research (RDIDP) at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT) of São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP), Presidente Prudente campus. Teaches courses in the Chemistry Teaching Degree program, such as Analytical Chemistry (theory and lab) and Instrumental Analysis (theory and lab).At the graduate level, supervises Master's (MSc) and Doctoral (PhD) students and teaches courses (Advanced Analytical Chemistry, Electroanalytics, Chemical Sensors, Scientific Writing) in the Graduate Programs in Chemistry at the Institute of Biosciences, Letters and Exact Sciences (IBILCE/UNESP, São José do Rio Preto campus) and the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry (IQSC/USP).Frequently serves as an ad hoc reviewer for several international scientific journals, including Biosensors Bioelectronics, ACS Applied Materials Interfaces, RSC Advances, Analyst, Analytica Chimica Acta, Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, Electrochimica Acta, Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, Electroanalysis, Talanta, Analytical Methods, Chemical Communications, Dalton Transactions, Environmental Science Technology, Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry, International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, Arabian Journal of Chemistry, and Inorganica Chimica Acta. Is also an ad hoc consultant for research projects funded by agencies such as CNPq, FAPESP, FAPITEC/SE, and PROPE-UFRN.Has experience in the field of Chemistry, with an emphasis on Electrochemistry. Their main lines of research involve: Chemiresistors, Biosensors, Bio-inspired Sensors, Potentiometric Sensors, Spectroelectroanalysis, Chemosensors, Chemiluminescence, Electroanalytical Methodologies for Environmental Samples, Enzymatic Biomimetic Materials, and Electropolymerization.Leads the Electroanalysis and Sensors Research Group (GPES), affiliated with the Center of Innovative Laboratories in Materials Applied to Sustainability (CLIMAS).
