LAÉRCIO FIDELIS DIAS was born in São Paulo/SP, PHD in Social Anthropology from the University of São Paulo (USP). He is Professor at the Paulista State University (UNESP), where he works in Undergraduate, at the Marília campus, and Post-Graduate in Environmental Sciences-PPGCA, at the Sorocaba campus and researcher at CEVAP / Unesp. He was Director of the Department for the Protection of Afro-Brazilian Heritage - DPA, of the Palmares Cultural Foundation - FCP, linked to the Ministry of Tourism, between 2020 and 2021. Develops research in the area of Anthropology, with an emphasis on Anthropology of Health, Anthropological Theory, Philosophical Anthropology, working on the following themes: ethnomedicine, therapeutic itinerary, health transition, alcoholic beverages, anthropology and literature. Organized the collections, "Reflections on Peace, Vol. 2: Peace and Tolerance." São Paulo: Academic Culture, 2018, "New Rights in Contemporaneity, Vol. 1", São Paulo: Academic Culture, 2021 and published the book "The Good Drinking: consumption styles among Uaça-Amapá/Amazon Indigenous Peoples.
