He is Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Maringá (1986), master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1991) and PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (1996). He is currently a Full Professor III. He has experience in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering with studies on Ceramic Sintering and obtaining Ceramic Photocatalysts and in History of Science with an emphasis on Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. He works in the research area on the following topics: titanium oxide, tin oxide, sintering, focused on photo catalysis and electronic ceramics. In the university extension area he develops work on the History of Science and Chemical Engineering and the Chemistry of Things. He teaches different subjects in Economics, Technological Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and History of Science. Currently he coordinates the Latu Senso Postgraduate Course in Brewing Technology and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at UNESP - Institute of Chemistry of Araraquara.
