She obtained a Bachelors degree in Dentistry from São Paulo State University (UNESP) in 1995, a Masters degree in Morphofunctional Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP) in 2002, and a PhD in Morphofunctional Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP) in 2007. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Biosciences, University of São Paulo (USP) in 2009 and was awarded the Habilitation (Livre-Docência) in Neuroanatomy by São Paulo State University (UNESP) in 2018.She is currently an Associate Professor (Habilitated) in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and serves as Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Health Sciences and Human Communication at São Paulo State University (UNESP). She coordinates the Laboratory of Neuroinflammation and Neuroscience Studies.Her research experience lies in Neuroanatomy and Neuroscience, with a primary focus on neurodevelopment, autism spectrum disorder, neuroinflammation, behavior, sleep, and biological rhythms.
