Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Campus de Botucatu. Faculdade de Ciências Agronômicas (FCA)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Associate Professor with tenure at the School of Agricultural Sciences of São Paulo State University (UNESP), Botucatu Campus, and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology at Oklahoma State University (OSU), United States. She is a full member of the Brazilian Academy of Agronomic Sciences (ABCA Chair 85) and holds a CNPq Research Productivity Fellowship Level A. She earned her degree in Agronomic Engineering from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (2003), a Masters degree in Agronomy Agricultural Entomology from UNESP (2005), a Ph.D. in Sciences Entomology from ESALQ/USP (2008), a postdoctoral fellowship at Mississippi State University (20092010), and the title of Livre-Docente (habilitation) from UNESP (2020). Her research focuses on integrated pest management, emphasizing the integration of tactics such as biological, behavioral, chemical, biotechnological, and cultural control in economically important crops, including soybean, maize, and vegetables. Over her scientific career, she has published 147 papers in indexed journals, three books, twenty-one book chapters, and has accumulated more than 3,100 citations on Google Scholar (h-index = 32). Her work includes studies on the biological characterization and thermal requirements of parasitoids, mass-rearing protocols, selectivity of crop protection products, insect resistance management, and biological control strategies adapted to climate change, considering aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2, 9, and 15). In human resource training, she has supervised 26 Masters students, 15 Ph.D. students, and two postdoctoral researchers, as well as 224 undergraduate theses. Her former students are active in both research institutions and companies in the biological inputs sector. Institutionally, she has served as Coordinator of the Undergraduate Program in Agronomic Engineering at FCA/UNESP (20182020), Coordinator of the Entomology Area of the Agronomy Advisory Committee at CNPq (20212024), Treasurer of the International Organization for Biological Control Neotropical Regional Section (IOBC-NTRS, since 2023), and has coordinated international cooperation agreements with Oklahoma State University and European institutions. She currently leads projects funded by CNPq and FAPESP, including Impact of Biological Control Strategies on the Management of Spodoptera frugiperda Susceptibility (CNPq), the INCT on Biorational Control of Insect Pests, Phytopathogens, and Invasive Plants (CNPq), the Center for Citrus Industry Sustainability (FAPESP), and the Center of Excellence in Biological Control (FAPESP), fostering technology transfer and scientific collaboration. She has received distinctions such as the 1st Monsanto Agro-Environmental Award in the Researcher category (2009), has been chosen as class patron for Agronomy graduates at FCA/UNESP (2014, 2019, 2022), and was elected to the Brazilian Academy of Agronomic Sciences (2024). Since 2012, she has coordinated the extension project Entomological Clinic at FCA/UNESP, dedicated to diagnosis and consulting for rural producers, integrating teaching, research, and extension activities. She maintains scientific collaborations with institutions in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Panama, and Colombia. Her recent publications address topics such as optimization of Telenomus podisi releases, use of cryopreserved eggs in biological control, and the distribution of cryptic species of Bemisia tabaci, with a focus on advances in agricultural entomology.
