Full Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Botucatu Medical School of São Paulo State University (FMB/UNESP), with teaching and research activities in semiology, gastroenterology, hepatology, clinical reasoning, and clinical research across all levels of training. Founding member of the São Paulo Association for the Study of the Liver (APEF, 1996). Contributed to the creation of the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) at FMB/UNESP (20002003). Established the Center for Distance Education and Health Information Technologies (NEAD.TIS, 20012004) and coordinated the Botucatu branch of the "Pedagogia Cidadã" distance education project (20022005). Implemented the Clinical Research Unit (UPECLIN) in 2005.Served on the Health Science, Technology and Innovation Council of the São Paulo State Department of Health (SES/SP, 20102012). Created the Professional Graduate Program in Clinical Research (CAPES, 2015), which he coordinated until 2018. In the same period, established and led the Committee on Good Scientific Research Practices (CBPC) at FMB/UNESP (20152020). Was a member of the Botucatu Municipal Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (COMCITI, 20152019) and advisor for the Operationalization Plan of the National Clinical Research Network (RNPC, 20172019). Coordinated the Faculty Board (20182023) and the Structuring Teaching Core (NDE, 20212023) at FMB/UNESP. Collaborated in the design of the Academic Health Complex and the School of Health Education at FMB/HCFMB/FAMESP (2021).Served on the advisory boards of NEAD.TIS, the Center for the Study of Venoms and Venomous Animals (CEVAP, until 2024), and the Botucatu Technology Park (20192023), also acting as mentor. Took part in the conception of institutional projects such as NEAD.TIS, UPECLIN, Fibrin Sealant, Antiapilic Serum, and the Biopharmaceuticals Factory of CEVAP/FMB.Since 2018, has served as Coordinator of Professional Graduate Programs in the Medicine II area at CAPES/MEC, and as a member of the Colégio da Vida of the Health Sciences division, contributing to the development of graduate program evaluation, the definition of criteria for distance education (20202022), and the regulation of the Hybrid Teaching and Learning Process (PHEA) in graduate education (2023).Currently coordinates the project Development and execution of the mapping and situational diagnosis of clinical research centers in Brazil, carried out at UNESP with funding from the Ministry of Health and executed by CNPq (20252027). He holds a Technological Development and Innovative Extension Grant for Human Resource Training and Retention Sectoral Funds SET A.
