Post-doctor in Physical Education from the State University of Londrina (UEL), PhD in Sciences from the Public Health Nutrition program at the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo, Master's degree in Physical Education from UEL, specialist in Sports Training Sciences from Universidade Norte do Paraná, has a full degree in Physical Education, from UEL, and a bachelor's degree in Administrative Sciences (1997) and Accounting Sciences (1999) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas. He has a PhD internship (PDEE / CAPES) at the School of Human Motricity of the Technical University of Lisbon and Visiting Scholar at Harvard Medical School. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Education/Kinesiology at the School of Technology and Science (FCT) at Sao Paulo State University-UNESP, Presidente Prudente / SP, Brazil, and accredited in the Graduate Program in Movement Sciences at UNESP. In the area of management, he acts and has served as department head, course coordinator, course advisor and Physical Education department advisor, member of the ethics committee, member of the Permanent Research Committees (when he was vice-president) and Teaching Committee of the FCT/UNESP, elected member of the FCT/UNESP congregation and appointed member of the FCT/UNESP Permanent Administration Committee. He coordinates the Musculoskeletal System Assessment Laboratory (LABSIM), in partnerships with Brazilian, American, Italian and Portuguese institutions. He coordinates the Open University for Older Persons (UNATI-FCT / UNESP). In postgraduate studies, he supervises and supervised more than 20 master's and doctoral students, in addition to two postdoctoral supervisions. In undergraduate programs, he supervised and mentored more than 50 students (with 18 scholarships). He has two book chapters published and more than 80 articles published in indexed journals, of which more than 70 are in the NCBI database (PUBMED). He coordinates and coordinated six research projects and three extension projects at UNESP. He raised funds for research projects and technical visits from CNPq (Universal Notice), CAPES (via PPGCMI) and FAPESP. He is a member of ACSM, International Society for Electrical Bio-impedance and the Brazilian Society of Physical Activity and Health. He has experience in the area of Kinesiology, with an emphasis on Measurements and Assessment, Body Composition, Bioelectrical Impedance, DXA, Exercise Prescription for adult and older populations, and Epidemiology of Physical Activity.
