Associate Professor in the Department of Gerontology and a Supervisor in the Graduate Programs in Gerontology at UFSCar and Interunit Bioengineering at USP. She holds a Bachelors degree (2003), a Masters degree (2007), and a Ph.D. (2011) in Physiotherapy from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). She completed a doctoral research period at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Surrey, United Kingdom (2016-2017). A founding member and Ethics Director of the Brazilian Society of Gerontechnology, she conducts research in Gerontology, focusing on Gerontechnology, User-Centered Design for Older Adults, Quality of Life, and Universities for the Third Age.
