Journalist, photographer and documentary filmmaker, PQ-2 productivity scholarship holder since 2020, is a full professor in Media Ecology and Image Narratives at the Universidade Estadual Paulista - Unesp, holds a Master's degree (2006) and a PhD in Social Communication from the Methodist University of São Paulo (2010 ) and a degree in Journalism from the University of Vale do Paraíba (2003). He developed his Master's thesis on Production and Exhibition of Documentary Cinema on the Internet (funded by CAPES-Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel), under the guidance of prof. Dr. Sebastião Carlos de Morais Squirra, and his PhD thesis in Social Communication in the postgraduate program at the Methodist University of São Paulo, where he researched on Languages #8203;#8203;for Interactive Documentary Cinema (funded by CAPES - Coordination for the Improvement of Level Personnel Superior), under the guidance of professor Dr Elizabeth Moraes Gonçalves.. He developed his post-doctoral research at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain), with the theme "Transmedia Journalism: A study on the production of reports for digital media", under supervised by Prof. Dr Jesus Miguel Flores Vivar. He developed another post-doctoral research at the University of Aveiro (Portugal), with the theme "Touch Journalism: Languages #8203;#8203;for hyperjournalism on mobile devices", under the supervision of professor Dr. Fernando Ramos. He developed a third post-doctoral research at the University of Aveiro (Portugal), with the theme of Networks, Mediation and Territorial Innovation, under the supervision of professors Fernando Ramos and Luis Pedro. He has professional experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Communication, with an emphasis on Photography, Audiovisual and Electronic Journalism, working mainly on photography and documentary topics. He is an associate professor of the Journalism course at Universidade Estadual Paulista-Unesp, where he currently teaches the subjects Image Narratives, Image Narratives Laboratory and Deontology of Journalism. He has already taught the subjects Telejournalism I and II, as well as the subjects Photojournalism I and Photojournalism II. He is a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Program in Communication (master's and doctorate) and since 2016 he has been an honorary professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, where he participates in the MidaLab research group. As a researcher, he works on developing research on Communication, Journalism, Photography and Transmedia Narrative. He is Scientific Director of the Latin American Chair of Transmedia Narrative (headquarters in Rosario, Argentina) and lead researcher at Chrome Photo / GENEM-Study Group on the New Ecology of Media. He is the author of more than scientific articles published in magazines in Brazil, Spain, Mexico, Portugal, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Poland and Paraguay. He is the author of books published in Spain and Portugal, organizer of several collective books and author of chapters of books published in Brazil, Spain, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, England and Portugal. He was the author of conferences in Brazil, the United States, Portugal, Colombia, Spain, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Poland and Argentina. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
