Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences at the Institute of Biosciences, Letters, and Exact Sciences (IBILCE) of the São Paulo State University (UNESP) in São José do Rio Preto-SP. Vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemistry at UNESP, SJRP (2022-2025). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Maringá (1998), a Master's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Maringá (2001), a PhD in Sciences from the State University of Campinas (2005), and a Specialization in Environmental Management from the Federal University of São Carlos (2008). He served as a permanent member of the Graduate Program in Chemistry at IBILCE (2009-2020), as well as a member of the Chemistry Departments Council (2015-2017). He was a permanent member of the Turvo/Grande River Basin Committee (2010-2013) and of the creation of the Grande River Basin Committee (2010-2013). Currently, he is a professor in the fields of Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Management, and Vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemistry at IBILCE (2022-2025). He also serves as a councilor for the Municipal Water and Sewage Service (SEMAE) of São José do Rio Preto. He is a permanent faculty member and Vice-coordinator of the undergraduate Chemistry program, where he supervises undergraduate research, Master's, and Doctoral students in Chemistry. He has expertise in the field of Chemistry, with research interests including the development of analytical methods for environmental samples, such as studies on the dynamics of pollutants in the environment, including pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), metals, etc. His research also focuses on the use of biomass and biomass waste as precursors for new carbonaceous materials and their applications in soil conditioning, environmental remediation, energy, and support for biomolecules. In the laboratory, various techniques are employed, including molecular fluorescence, spectrophotometry, atomic absorption with flame and graphite furnace, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). He is currently the president of the Multi-user Environmental Chemical Analysis Center (CMAQA) of the Multiplatform USP, where all the laboratory's equipment is made available to both the internal and external community of the University (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
