Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Química de São Carlos (IQSC)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelor's degree (2006), Master's degree (2009), and Ph.D. (2013) in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry (IQSC-USP). Has experience in the field of Chemistry, with an emphasis on Inorganic and Organic Chemistry (Catalysis). Completed a Master's and Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry (Kinetics and Reaction Mechanisms involving radicals, metalloproteins, and nitric oxide transfer) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Douglas Wagner Franco. Subsequently, conducted postdoctoral research (20132017) in the Organic Synthesis Group at IQSC-USP under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Antonio Carlos Bender Burtoloso (biomass utilization and catalysis), including an international postdoctoral fellowship (20152016) at the University of California, Santa Barbara, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Peter C. Ford (lignin depolymerization and catalysis). Worked as an associate researcher (PNPD/CAPES fellowship) at IBILCE/UNESP in São José do Rio Preto, associated with the Bioenergy Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maurício Boscolo (20182023), focusing on catalytic reactions of alcohols (ethanol, 1-butanol, and fusel oil components) to obtain high-value-added products. His research primarily focuses on homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis (metallic catalysts) for the development of new reactions and methodologies aimed at utilizing alcohols (ethanol, 1-butanol, and fusel oil) and biomass-derived molecules (levulinic acid, gamma-valerolactone, pyrrolidones, and lignin) to produce high-value-added organic building blocks. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences at IBILCE/UNESP in São José do Rio Preto, affiliated with the Bioenergy Research Institute (IPBEN-Unesp) and working in the Bioenergy Laboratory (BIOEN) at IBILCE.
