Diego Sotto Podadera

Agronomist Engineer graduated from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP - Registro (2009), Master of Forest Science from Unesp Botucatu (2013), and Ph.D. in Ecology from State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2020) with a sandwich Ph.D. period at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (NL). Assistant Professor at São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP). Worked with forest ecology - phytosociology (Undergraduate), forest restoration - adaptive management of forests under restoration (Master's), forest ecology - plant interactions (Ph.D.), and forest restoration and study of the effects of multiple environmental factors on tree phenology and their relationships with economically damaging herbivores (Post-doc). Has experience in Ecology, mainly focusing on community ecology, forest restoration, adaptive management, agroforestry systems, eco-physiology (xylem resistance to embolism), and ecological anatomy. Taught courses in Forest Ecology, Forest Restoration, Dendrology, and Agroforestry Systems for the Forestry Engineering program at UNESP-Botucatu, and Introduction to Data Analysis in the R programming language for the Graduate Programs in Forest Science, Botany, and Zoology at UNESP-Botucatu. Reviewer for Restoration Ecology, Plos One, Acta Botanica Brasilica, and Journal of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development. Coordinator of the Laboratory of Restoration and Tropical Forestry - RESTROP.
