He holds a post-doctorate (2014) at the Laboratory of Clinical Investigation in Insulin Resistance at the School of Medical Sciences of the Campinas State University(UNICAMP). He is a professor of "Human Physiology, "Nutrition and Physical Education" and "Physical Exercise Applied to Health" in the Undergraduate Course of Physical Education at the Institute of Biosciences of the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP) and a member of the Postgraduate Program in Human Development and Technologies in IB-UNESP. He conducts research on insulin resistance, obesity and related diseases with an emphasis on the therapeutic role of physical exercise. He has experience in the areas such as molecular biology, metabolism, biochemistry, human physiology and exercise physiology. He is currently Head of the Department of Physical Education and Vice-Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Human Development and Technologies at the IB of UNESP Rio Claro.
