The researcher has a degree in Social Sciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista/UNESP (2004), with an emphasis on Sociology; Master's degree in Social Anthropology from the State University of Campinas/UNICAMP (2008), where he carried out research on the representation of violence in the field of Brazilian television and PhD from the Postgraduate Program in Social Anthropology at the University of São Paulo/PPGAS-USP ( 2013), with research focused on the relationship between the use of communicative technologies and contemporary forms of engagement and collective action. He was a visiting researcher at the École Des Hautes Études En Sciences Sociales / EHESS (Paris / France), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michel Agier, for one year (2011 and 2012). Currently, he is an Assistant Professor, full-time, at the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp). He is the author of the book: "Reinventing the city: an ethnography of symbolic struggles between video-activist cultural collectives in the 'peripheries' of São Paulo" (Annablume/Fapesp, 2017) and is among the organizers of the book "Practices, conflicts, spaces: research in anthropology of the city" (Gramma/Fapesp, 2019). His research revolves around the following themes: Urban Anthropology, Anthropology of State and Politics, Anthropology of Expressive Forms and Regimes of Knowledge and Anthropology of youth movements (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
