Abstract
In this project, we intend to introduce the student in research in the area of Lie Theory through the study of the matrix groups.

bachelor's at Matemática from UNESP/IBILCE/Campus de S. J. do Rio Preto (1990), master's at Mathematics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1993) and doctorate at Mathematics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2004). Has experience in Mathematics, focusing on Geometry and Topology, acting on the following subjects: topologia, grupos topológicos, diagonalização, grupos e semigrupos and álgebras de lie.
