Associate Professor in History of Communication and Media Culture in Latin America (2014) at Unesp. She completed her Post-Doctorate (2008) in the Post-Graduate Program in Latin American Integration at the University of São Paulo-PROLAM / USP, and a PhD in Social Communication from the Methodist University of São Paulo (2002). Administrative Director and Editor of the Magazine of the Asociación Latinoamericana de Investigadores de la Comunicacion (ALAIC). Deputy Head of the Social Communication Department at FAAC-Unesp (2024-2016). She is currently a Fapesp fellow (2023-2025) with the Digital Encyclopedia of Latin American Communication Thought (PCLA) project - WOMEN in Communication Section. Associate Professor (RDIDP) at UNESP, in undergraduate courses and in Postgraduate programs in Communication and Media and Technology, since 2008. Coordinator of the Research Group on Latin American Communicational Thought (PCLA) at CNPq. Winner of the Luiz Beltrão Award - Category: Academic Maturity from the Brazilian Society of Interdisciplinary Communication Studies (2014). Integrates (2023) the INCT Kaleidoscope Institute for Advanced Studies on Inequities, Inequalities and Violence of Gender and Sexuality and its Multiple Insurgencies and in (2022) the Red Iberoamericana de Investigadores en Cultura y conocimento de los Sistemas Alimentarios (Mexico). She works in the area of Communication, with an emphasis on History of Communication and Media Culture, History and Memory (Communication), Latin American Communication, Popular Culture, Cultural Diversity, Communication and Gender, Journalism and its social and technological nuances in Latin America .
