The agreement with The Ohio State University, USA, aims at fostering American-Brazilian collaboration in scientific research and to fund joint research projects conducted by teams from the State of São Paulo, Brazil, and the United States.
This project builds on prior OSU-Brazil research on riparian forest hydrology. We will use hydrogen and oxygen isotopes to assess eucalyptus water uptake and its hydrologic effects. Findings will inform restoration and management of intensively managed forests in Brazil, integrating ecosystem metrics with high-resolution sensor data. (AU)
