Abstract

Brazil has an enormous veterinary market that keeps growing for years. The country has the second population of pets of the world and the greatest biodiversity of the planet. In agrobusiness, Brasil is the second producer of bovine meat and is expressive in producing poultry and swines. Given that, we intend to introduce advanced diagnostic molecular techniques in Brazilian veterinary market. New generation sequencing (NGS) showed an intense growing in last years, opening new frontiers for genomic studies and new applications in diagnostic of infectious diseases, including in veterinary medicine. The aim of this study is to develop a new diagnostic test for veterinarians. We will develop a rapid metagenomic for simultaneous of multiple pathogens for domestic cats using NGS. (AU)
