Abstract

Abstract: Literature review shows that in Brazil the black population has historically experienced a situation of social exclusion, discrimination and racism and that these processes are generating physical and mental illness. We assume that the psychosocial effects of racism, exclusion and social segregation have a significant impact on people's health, and children and adolescents are the main victims of this process. However, how are children and adolescentes black cared in Infant Psychosocial Attention Centers? In CAPSi services, are children and adolescents recognized and cared by taking into account this uniqueness of the racial question? What is it like to live with and be a caregiver of a child / adolescent with mental illness? The study will be developed in three stages: the first step will have a quantitative/qualitative approach and the second stage will have a qualitative approach. The research scenario will be the CAPSi Brasilândia, located in the northern part of the city of São Paulo-SP. In the second stage - it will be a qualitative, exploratory research. The participating subjects will be all women-caregivers of black/brown children/adolescents with mental illness. The "n" forms/questionnaires completed about them will be analyzed in Step I. A form/questionnaire containing guiding questions/semi-structured interviews will be used, to understand their path in the Health Care Network. For analysis a content analysis will be done. For the third step, will be held a deliberative dialogue - agreement of the data found in the study and that will compose the new version of the mental health report of the CAPSi of the municipality with professionals of the services, municipal managers, users and civil society. Also will be held a meeting of devolutive research constructs for families, services and municipal, state and federal managers. Ethical aspects - the research project was registered in the Brazil Platform of the National Commission of Ethics in Research (CONEP), under the number CAEE 80431917.7.0000.5392. Duration: 24 months. Necessary resources: R$ 74.840,14. (AU)
