Abstract

The prof. Arreola develops research in the Department of Radiology of the University of Florida College of Medicine of significant importance in different areas of Medical Physics and Radiation Dosimetry. Some that were published in important scientific journals and involve the quantification of doses in techniques of computed tomography, mammography and fluoroscopy. Consirering his experience, he should collaborate with different ongoing projects under the coordination of the proponent and discuss results that are being obtained by Ms and PhD students. It can be expected collaborative work which can result in scientific manuscripts to be submitted to refereed journals. Besides the scientific aspects, the experience of prof. Arreola as trainer and teacher will contribute to the discussion of important educational aspects in the areas of graduation, postgraduate and professional training in the area of Medical Physics. In addition, technical visits and conferences will be held at partner institutions of the Institute of Physics of USP, such as the Institute of Radiology of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Medical School of USP and the Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo. Finally, during this visit, prof. Arreola is expected to attend the Brazilian Congress of Medical Physics as a key speaker, presenting conferences at the event. (AU)
