Advances in environmental management in grasslands soils

Abstract

Pasture ecosystems are complex systems involving interactions in soil-plant-animal and atmosphere. Soil is the basis of the animal production system. The nutrients needed for plant growth are provided by soil and numerous gaseous exchanges between pasture soils occur such as the production of methane, nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide. During the visit will discuss the results of 8 years of research in the field of climate change and nutrient cycling in pastoral ecosystems. The interaction will result in new research projects and high-level publications. (AU)
