Abstract

The construction of gas lines, for external centralization of the cylinders, aims to supply the research and must meet the safety standards and good laboratory practices required by the TAC-IBAMA, signed by IPEN, consolidating the institutional commitment of physical modifications in their laboratories, according to several norms. This action also aims to meet ISO 14001, which does not allow the presence of high pressure gas cylinders inside the laboratories. Therefore, steps are needed to mitigate this serious safety problem in special gas installations at IPEN research units, enabling them to occur successfully. This is a fifth part of the viability of this action in the house. The current Directorate of Research, Development and Education (DPDE) of IPEN, has taken on this task to solve this serious problem in the house. This action must satisfy a demand still pending in some IPEN Centers, in order to regularize the house in this important aspect, fundamental to good R & D practices. Therefore, the present request to FAPESP corresponds to the sixth Phase of implementation of the special gas lines in the IPEN Centers, giving continuity to the proposed solution of this problem, which has already been using resources of the FAPESP RTs for this purpose, with success.
