Abstract

The more the internet evolves into the Internet of Things (IoT) and the more electronic devices become ubiquitous in people's daily lives, the more people with physical and/or cognitive limitations become excluded from this technological revolution. At the same time, more important become technologies which make the life of the elderly, disabled, children with limitations and people in treatment of diseases closer to that of their friends and families.Assistive technologies provide for specific problems, and thus create dependency. However, if multiple assistive technologies make up part of a holistic (re)habilitation system, they can help to gradually reduce the general dependency of those more affected by it. And independence is a need of any human being, as well as having social relationships on equal terms (as much as possible).Still, there are in the market few options of digital (re)habilitation, that is, platforms which promote (re)inclusion of people to the social relations by gradually attenuating their physical and/or cognitive limitations through digital technologies such as smartphone apps and IoT devices. And to develop an alternative, research is needed to answer questions like: how to speed up the (re)habilitation of a person with a smartphone? Who is this person? What is the best interface for each kind of potential user? What a backend technically viable software would look like in order to generate intelligence from the platform's usage metadata? In this project, it is proposed the technical and market research for the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of the Ter@pp, InCloude's digital (re)habilitation platform. The main technical proofs-of-concept have already been made and some market hypotheses have already begun to be tested (albeit not in a statistically relevant universe). There are indications that a PIPE phase 1 project is enough to develop this MVP into a product to be commercialized as a module of the Ter@pp platform. (AU)
