Abstract

The increasing number of sensing and control devices in buildings and homes has helped improve comfort, safety and resource utilization. This area has expanded a lot in the last years due to the cheapness of the technology and increase in the offer of solutions. In the market for HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) or climate control, as in most electronic areas, Brazil continues to import practically all products. Several world companies compete for the domestic market, without great differences between them. In this scenario, DevelopNow intends to introduce a line of sensors and controllers with the highest technology available in the HVAC market, manufactured in national territory. A line of these sensors has gone through the stages of development, validation and sales, demonstrating the mastery of technology by the team. Currently, new sensors and controllers have been developed or validated in different phases. In addition to the lines of sensors and controllers mentioned, a thermostat with presence of artificial intelligence is under development by the team. The company's objective with this PIPE project is the commercial development of the brand and launch of the products, with creation of plastic injection molds, brand standardization, and participation in fairs and meetings to present the products to potential clients and commercial representatives. It is also the goal of the researchers to set up a bench of tests for automated recording and calibration of the manufactured plates. This bench makes the process faster, more efficient and more reliable, with standardized tests and individual calibration report generation for each manufactured device. Another area of interest that has already been studied is the development of communication protocols for Internet of Things (IoT), where all sensors and controllers have remote communication, and interactive control platforms.
