Abstract

The communication production of and in Latin America, as stated by Jesús Martín-Barbero (1997), is a rediscovery of complex polemics, postponed problematics, genealogies that interconnect fields and lines of singular thoughts. They are antagonistic in many respects, but extremely rooted in academic traditions and exclusivist theoretical perspectives, as based on individual practices and experiences carried out mostly by male researchers. For the multiple scenarios of communicative studies we must take into account structural, social, political-cultural and gender characteristics, so different in a nuanced region like ours. Thus, this exploratory research intends from a methodological complex interconnected by bibliographical research, historical research (social historiography), categorized by "space of experience" and "horizons of expectations" (KOSELLECK, 2006) and "gender" ( SCOTT, 1995), especially from the works of Michelle Rosaldo and Louise Lamphere (1979), to rescue, systematize, analyze and focus on women's contributions to Latin American communicative studies, having as a spatiotemporal cut: the books on communication produced by the International Center for Higher Studies of Communication for Latin America (Ciespal), from 1959 to 1999. It is hoped that the project will be completed with elements for the development of other perspectives for communication studies, translated from the experiences of led by researchers in the region. Similarly, considering the multiple socio-cultural contours, expressing changes capable of contributing to the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda, especially with reference to objectives 4, 5, 10 and 16, which include inclusive and quality education; Gender Equality and Female Empowerment; Reduction of Inequalities and Culture of Peace; Justice and Effective Institutions, respectively.
