Abstract

The planned study aims to compare the performance of finishing beef cattle feed diets with different levels (0, 15, 30 and 45% on dry matter basis) of inclusion of dry distillers bran solubles and two different energy sources: starch/corn or pectin/citrus pulp. Three hundred and sixty eight Nellore bulls will be allocated in 60 experimental pens for 120 days. The following variables will be evaluated: dry matter intake, average daily gain, feed efficiency and carcass characteristics. The experiment will be carried out in a randomized block design with a 4 x 2 factorial arrangement. Data will be analyzed by PROC MIXED of SAS 9.4. All assumptions of the analysis of variance will be respected. Significance will be declared at P d 0.05. (AU)
