Abstract

There have been many technological changes that Manufacturing Engineering has undergone to adapt to the specific demands of each era, within what is called "Industrial Revolutions". In this scenario of changes and evolution, manufacturing can be considered to be in the era of Intelligent Manufacturing, in which processing, information and communication technologies seek to improve the performance of manufacturing processes with the intensive use of monitoring and control systems. However, in Brazil, CNC machines still lack systems and sensors to aid the process, with national development and technology, in order to be inserted in the concepts of Intelligent Machines. In order to contribute to the solution of this problem, the present project proposes the development and production of a sensor for the reference of parts in CNC machining centers, of the probe touch trigger type, to be produced with national technology, which is integrated with the physical systems cybernetics in the context of Industry 4.0.
