Abstract

This document describes an investment proposal to use the Institutional Technical Funding (RTI) granted by FAPESP in 2020 to AC Camargo Cancer Center. The International Research Center (CIPE) of AC Camargo Cancer Center provides core facilities and technical services to all researchers to carry out cutting-edge basic and translational research in Oncology. With the increasing number of projects in recent years, technical professionals and specialized managers have been recruited and investments in infrastructure have been made with RTI funds from past years. This year, the institution proposes to acquire a server-type computer, to expand the development of bioinformatics services, supplementary parts to the Tissue Microarrays (TMA), used in the core facility of histology and immunohistochemistry, electrical voltage stabilizers, to protect cryogenic tanks of the biobank and productivity software to support administrative research processes. The estimated global value of this investment is R$ 78,931.79 (seventy-eight thousand, nine hundred and thirty-one reais and seventy-nive cents). Investing in greater computational processing power for data analysis, upgrading important research equipment for histological analysis, as well as protecting the integrity of biobank equipments will benefit all researchers at the institution and it will contribute to increase the capacity and security of the company's research operational processes.
