Abstract
In this project, we aim to discuss in a wide, compared, transdisciplinary and transnational way the circulation of the thought and writing of the French critic and writer Roland Barthes (1915-1980) all over Latin America. We intend to discuss the impact of Roland Barthes' work to understand the formation of critical movements and personal trajectories in Latin America through the study of documents (archives of universities and critics, interviews, text analysis, mapping of translations, citations and specific publications about Barthes). Besides theoretical and critical work, this project also focuses on the training of students, and will propitiate dialogue with other researchers from Brazil, Latin America and France, who are already developing works on the circulation of french criticism in Latin America.
