Abstract

Handball in the State of São Paulo occupies a prominent position in the Brazilian context with its development in varied environments (schools, clubs, and associations) and with outstanding competitive results. At national and state level, there are no guidelines established for teaching by entities that organize handball, and the aspects identified through studies with different coaches (regional, school and state) showed that it is not possible to identify an organization of specific contents and teaching approaches in a long-term overview. This aspect is a limiting factor to guide the systematization of specific contents by the coach. On the other hand, the investigation of the teaching-learning process of a consecrated club in the context of handball can subsidize such systematization, since the coaches are aligned with club philosophy. Therefore, the objectives of this research project are: 1) to identify and to analyze the offensive and defensive contents (individual and collective) taught by the coaches in the U-12, U-14, U-16 and U-18 teams; 2) to identify, to analyze and to compare the teaching approaches adopted by them in different age categories; 3) compare the findings of this project with the speeches of coaches from other environments. Based on a qualitative approach (semi-structured interview), eight coaches linked to the club and who coach U-12, U-14, U-16 and U-18 teams (male and female) are expected to participate. The speeches will be organized, tabulated and analyzed using the Thematic Reflexive Analysis. (AU)
