Abstract
On the world stage, coffee culture is among the most commercialized and profitable products, representing a source of income for several countries. The species Coffea arabica L.e Coffea canephora stand out in Brazilian coffee growing, having great importance for the economy in the contribution as a positive acting agent in the Brazilian trade balance. Given this economic importance, the objective of the project is to evaluate the behavior of 12 Coffea arabica coffee cultivars and 20 Coffea canephora coffee clones in the Ribeira Paulista Valley, combined with good agronomic characteristics, in order to generate information that contributes to the recommendation technique of these cultivars for the region. The arabica experiment was installed in February 2018, at the Experimental Campus of the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita filho" - UNESP, in Registro-SP. The Coffea canephora clone experiment was installed in November 2018 at the Experimental Campus of the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP, in Registro-SP, and on private property located in the city of Juquiá-SP. The spacing adopted is 3.0 x 0.60 m and 3.0 x 1.0 m, respectively, for the Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora assay. The experimental design used is randomized blocks, with three replications, and plots of 10 plants, with only six central plants being considered as a useful plot. The characteristics will be evaluated: productivity, percentage of cherry fruits, percentage of green fruits percentage of raisins / dry fruits, percentage of chochos fruits physical classification of coffee, evaluation of the sensory attributes of drink, leaf anatomy, climatic study, vegetative vigor, incidence of cercosporiosis on the leaves of coffee trees, incidence and severity of rust, incidence of miner bug on the leaves of coffee trees. Statistical analyzes will be performed using the computer program Sisvar (Ferreira, 2000). The average data, of the evaluated characteristics, will be submitted to analysis of variance by the F test and, the means compared by the Skott Knott test at 5% probability (AU)
