Abstract
This project describes the topics that we want to study during the visit of Professor Jerry Bona from University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. The main objectives are to control the potential blow-up solution to the generalized KdV type equations and comparison of solutions to the higher-order water wave model posed on real line to that posed on a periodic domain. Also, we propose to organize a mini-course composed of 3 lectures during the visit. (AU)
