Abstract

This proposal consists in the validation of the proprietary search engine owned by NeuralMind, NeuralSearchX (NSX), at the Bosch company, a world leader in automotive industrial technology. The goal of this project is to increase the productivity of the company's tax department, supporting their ability to answer tax questions from employees about Brazil's, the United States', and Europe's tax laws and regulations. NSX was developed with advanced NLP techniques, and is able to connect to various databases within a company, offering a simple, agile, and accurate search experience in the form of open questions, summarizing answers and prioritizing results more accurately. NSX outperforms its two major international competitors and has won 8 international competitions in the past 3 years. The challenge faced by Bosch is tied to the complexity of Brazilian tax legislation, which generates insecurity in the collection of taxes and results in great delay in responding to employee questions. Despite the excellent performance, NSX still does not integrate with various corporate platforms nor does it comply with some security standards and APIs, both of which are already offered by our two major competitors. These are important bottlenecks for us to be able to scale the product and better serve the corporate segment. Bosch's files are located on Microsoft's SharePoint service, whose integration with NSX will open doors for faster growth in the corporate sector, as Microsoft systems are widely used by companies of all sizes. The validation will consist of 4 main activities: i) indexing of tax databases from various countries (Brazil, USA, a European country), ii) execution of NeuralSearchX in production mode on the customer's cloud system (Azure), without the need to transfer data outside their firewall (for this, NSX will need to be homologated by Bosch); iii) integration of NSX onto SharePoint to index MS Office files transparently to users; and iv) charging of Bosch for NSX's use as SaaS, sharing usage statistics with the customer. This validation will represent a fundamental step in the consolidation of NeuralMind as it will serve as a proof of performance and excellence in the legal corporate market, which is extremely competitive and demanding.
