Abstract

Research and development in thin films through deposition methods of materials in solution for electronic applications often requires that the film deposition processes be carried out in a glove-box environment with controlled relative humidity and temperature. More specifically, perovskite solar cells, which have attracted great interest due to the high energy conversion efficiency achieved in just over a decade of research, requires development in a glove-box environment with relative humidity control due to perovskite crystallization process induction by moisture. This type of solar cell has been developed by blade coating method. The startup Autocoat, founded in 2020, has developed a lab-scale blade coating equipment for the deposition of thin films that has been successfully tested and validated for the deposition of films of different types of materials in atmospheric air environment. Thus, the present proposal aims the technical validation for the integration of the blade coating equipment to the glove-box environment through the partner company MBRAUN, a world leader in glove-box equipment.
