Abstract
The CEPID B3 is a network with research hubs based in São Paulo (IQ-USP, ICB-USP), Campinas (IB-UNICAMP, IAC), Ribeirão Preto (FCFRP-USP, FMRP-USP) and Rio Claro (UNESP) that will collaborate to carry out cutting edge basic research into molecular mechanisms that are of prime importance to understand bacterial reproduction, multicellular behavior, competition, colonization and interactions with their eukaryotic hosts and bacteriophages. The acquired knowledge will be used in the search and development of new chemical and biological inhibitors of bacterial growth. (AU)
