Abstract

This RTI, in the amount of BRL 1,145,191.70 (one million, one hundred and forty-five thousand, one hundred and ninety-one reais and seventy cents) corresponds to the IMT's share in the participation of the thematic project related to the construction of the Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT) carried out by several institutions in the State of São Paulo (Process nº 11/51680-6). It is proposed to adapt the computational infrastructure of Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia to the current demands of computational capacity necessary for the development of research. For this, the acquisition of a high performance computer cluster is proposed. The expansion of the computational infrastructure will allow the development of research in several IMT research groups at the same level of national and international academic institutions of excellence. The research groups of Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia to be benefited are: Intelligent Mechatronic Systems and Robotics, Nucleus of Embedded Electronic Systems, Renewable Energies, Manufacturing Processes and Mechanical Design, and Computational Modeling of Structures.
