Abstract

The Laboratório de Fenômenos de Superfície of the Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (LFS-EPUSP) and the Materials Processing Laboratory (MSMP) of the Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) have several individual initiatives towards the study of tribology, as well as joint initiatives since 2015, many of which dedicated to applications in the automotive industry. The visit of Prof. Mohamed El Mansori is dedicated to maintain and strengthen the cooperation between LFS-EPUSP and MSMP, covering fundamental studies of abrasive processes and applications related to the automotive sector. Activities will focus the exchange of recent results, for example in the tribological analysis of materials obtained from additive manufacturing processes. Activities also include presentation of the most recent results from Marcionila Santos, meeting with Prof. Dr. Francisco Jose Profito and Dr. Eduardo Tomanik, presentation of a seminar for researchers of EPUSP and other research institutes and companies of the automotive sector and another one dedicated to additive manufacturing. In addition, the activities plan considers meetings to discuss opportunities of participation in international calls on collaborative projects, such as ANR-FAPESP, COFECUB, French Chairs Program in São Paulo.
