Abstract

This project proposes the development of new concepts, algorithms and applications for internet access through 6G wireless communication networks and the Open RAN concept based on the experience and skills of the executing team. The research activities proposed in this project include the investigation of new signal processing techniques in the transmission and reception of access points connected to centralized and decentralized clouds, novel network architectures, multiple-antenna systems, channel coding using semantic concepts, multiple access techniques, new resource allocation approaches, and distributed and federative computing algorithms, machine learning and artificial intelligence. In addition, the project also foresees the integration of the proposed techniques with a view to Open RAN solutions and the construction of sophisticated link-level simulators for evaluating ideas and a prototype based on IoT devices and Arduino kits to verify the operation of techniques and selected applications.
