Abstract
This is a discrete mathematics project involving several areas related to probability theory, such as ergodic theory, statistical physics, and statistical inference. There are two major goals for this project. Mathematically, we want to study stochastic processes in discrete structures, and obtain new results related to: Poincaré recurrence, synchronization of stochastic chains, percolation, random graphs, and statistical inference. Institutionally, by supporting the development of the proposer's scientific research in probability theory, we want to reinforce the development of the area in São Carlos and region. (AU)
