Abstract

The multi-user equipment room at the Molecular Oncology Research Center of Barretos Cancer Hospital, occupies around 36 m2 and houses a technology park for equipment such as flow cytometers, microplate readers, luminometers, ultra and super centrifuges and microscopes. The equipment directly serves users from 16 groups who develop projects in the area of translational oncology. Furthermore, the equipment are made available to other teaching and research institutions, such as the Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ), Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research (IPEN), (USP) Ribeirão Preto; (UNIFESP) Jabotical, through collaborative projects and exchange of experiences. In general, the mentioned structure has faced problems with the accumulation of humidity in the air, caused by the temperature standard required in the environment (19-21°C). Therefore, it is necessary to incorporate a simple system to control humidity, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and preventing damage and wear. (AU)
