Abstract

The Brazilian Psychiatric Reform emerges as a social and political movement, in order to problematize and face issues related to the policy of mental health care from proposals of the Unified Health System (SUS), which allowed to reformulate the paradigms of madness and its assistance, as well as highlighting the need to rethink the care provided to patients. The advancement of this model allows the performance of multidisciplinary teams, in which the nurse assumes a fundamental role in the transformation of care, becoming a therapeutic agent capable of developing assistance based on promotion, prevention, recovery and rehabilitation, proposing to overcome assistance centered on disease and opening possibilities to consider the multicausal factors that are part of the health-disease process. In this sense, the Nursing Process can be the point of support for therapeutic agency and consists of a broad theoretical structure on which nursing is based. In addition to applying this theoretical framework to nursing practice, nurses are required to have the ability to solve problems, cognitive skills and interpersonal techniques to promote the well-being of patients in psychological distress, family members and the community. Thus, this study takes as a research problem the structuring of the Nursing Process based on the change in the care paradigm, when considering the expansion of the understanding of psychic suffering beyond the biomedical care model. Considering this transformation, the hypothesis is configured by the difficulty in establishing the Nursing Process in mental health due to the transformations of care and its particularities concerning the dimensions: singularized care based on the nurse-patient relationship, which leaves narrow margins for generalizations; role of the patient in his treatment and proposals for systematized care for patients whose pathological aspect lies between the physical and psychic limits. The objective will be to develop and implement the Nursing Process in the context of mental health care in equipment belonging to the Psychosocial Care Network in the municipality of Jundiaí, in the State of São Paulo/Brazil. This is a research with a qualitative approach in health that will use action research as a method, characterized as social research, with an empirical basis, which is developed in close association with an action or with the resolution of a collective problem, in which researchers and participants representing the situated reality are involved in a cooperative or participatory way. It will be developed through 12 themes/phases, which configure the action-research script: exploratory phase, research theme, problem setting, place of theory, hypotheses, seminar, field of observation, sampling and qualitative representativeness, data collection , learning, formal and informal knowledge, action plan and dissemination of results. As a result, it is expected the transformation of the practice concerning the care process in mental health nursing and the production of knowledge about this process contextualized in the field of mental health.
