Human Resources Training in Biomass Fuel Chemistry and New Materials

Abstract

The Chemistry Department at UFMG proposes two areas of focus: (a) biofuels and other renewable energies and (b) nanotechnology and new materials. This program is titled: "Human Resource Training in Biofuels, Renewable Energies, and New Materials." It aims to continue the efforts made in pursuit of excellence in human resource training for the oil, gas, and biofuels sector. Since 2011, the department has hosted PRH-46 (Biofuel Chemistry) with encouraging results and significant interest from students and the industrial sector. Students will have the opportunity to pursue complementary training at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels, as well as postdoctoral internships, in each of the focus areas separately.
