Abstract

This project aims to briefly describe the annual plan for applying the portion of R$22,092.90, calculated by FAPESP based on the grants made to researchers at Centro Universitário FEI in the fiscal year 2023, for institutional infrastructure costs for research. The proposal aims to acquire equipment that will enable research involving additive manufacturing by fused filament deposition (FDM) at high deposition speeds, an advanced subject that will enable research on the subject, in different areas of knowledge in which FEI's graduate programs operate, especially those in mechanical engineering (PPGEM - particularly in the influence of deposition speed on the crystallization of different polymers, and possible impact on mechanical properties) and electrical engineering (PPGEE). Furthermore, the high-speed FDM production capabilities of parts, and with the possibility of deposition of different materials, can facilitate the production of prototype and functional parts, which can help the development of research projects of the FEI University Center's postgraduate program in chemical engineering (PPGEQ), and illustrate proofs of concept that may be necessary for some project of the FEI University Center's postgraduate program in administration (PPGA).
