Abstract

This project is based on the acquisition of, an X-ray diffractometer equipment with accessories for analyzing diffraction patterns, crystallographic texture, residual stress and thin films that are not easily available in São Paulo state and have a limited number of specialist professionals, difficulting the development of scientific and technological projects. The following institutions will take part in this project: IPEN, IFSP, IMT, EPUSP and UFABC The equipment that actualy operates at IPEN (acquired by FAPESP projects) has been used for more than 20 years and is outside the maintenance plan by the manufacturer's representative. Operating since the 1980s, IPEN's DRX laboratory has carried out an extensive number of analyzes which have generated hundreds of academic works, publications and other research projects in these years, training professionals and developing technology for the country.
