ITR 2022 - ANNUAL IMPLEMENTATION PLAN OF THE AMOUNT OF TECHNICAL RESERVES AT THE HEART INSTITUTE OF THE CLINICAL HOSPITAL OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SÃO PAULO MEDICAL SCHOOL.

Abstract

The installment for Institutional Infrastructure Costs for Research - fiscal year 2024, in the amount of R$ 662.050,75, has been consolidated with the installments for the year 2023, totaling R$ 896.910,64, amounting to R$ 1.558.961,39. This consolidation was authorized by the FAPESP Scientific Processes Management.InCor is a high-complexity public university hospital specializing in cardiology, pneumology, and cardiac and thoracic surgeries. As the largest cardiology science center in Latin America, it stands out as a major research and teaching center with the mission of promoting actions for the dissemination of scientific knowledge, techniques, and technologies in its specialty, focusing on diagnosing and curing cardiopulmonary diseases and, consequently, improving the well-being of the population.InCor was elected the best specialized hospital in Latin America, according to the prestigious American magazine Newsweek, and ranks among the 38 best hospitals in cardiology and cardiovascular surgery in the world.It has 10% of its built area (81.500 m² in three buildings) dedicated exclusively to research.At InCor, research is one of the pillars of the virtuous cycle in which cutting-edge knowledge adds value to patient care, and, in a growing wave, enhances teaching.Including both clinical and applied basic research, InCor develops new equipment, medications, diagnostics, therapies, and surgical procedures.The dissemination of InCor's scientific expertise has reached audiences worldwide through the participation of its specialists in national and international scientific events, including lectures and symposiums.As a result of all this effort, InCor's researchers have received numerous awards in Brazil, including the Conrado Wessel Foundation Award in Medicine and the Péter Murányi Foundation Award in Scientific and Technological Development.The research and development policy at InCor is governed by strict ethical and regulatory criteria, established by Brazilian regulatory agencies and guided by consensus from leading international scientific organizations.
