Abstract

OOur research, innovation, and dissemination center, called the Center of Molecular Engineering for Advanced Materials (CEMol), is substantiated on molecular engineering concepts, i.e., how to explore atomic and molecular interactions to develop new processes and build advanced and safer materials and devices on demand. Specifically, we will apply the advanced concepts of colloidal synthesis and cutting-edge nanotechnology characterization techniques, synergistically combining them with data science to generate innovative materials and processes. Then we can apply this knowledge to innovate and solve complex problems involving energy, environment, health, and quantum devices. Our multi-institution center will have the participation of CNPEM, USP, UFABC, UFSCar, Embrapa, and IPEN, with CNPEM as its host institution. (AU)
