ANNUAL PLAN FOR APPLICATION OF THE TECHNICAL RESERVE FOR INFRASTRUCTURE - 2024/2025

Abstract

The School of Physical Education and Sport of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo (EEFERP/USP) presents its Annual Plan for the Application of Institutional Research Infrastructure Funds (RTI) for the 2024/2025 period, in compliance with the regulations established by FAPESP. The total amount allocated is R$ 20,428.94, granted under process nº 2023/00380-0 and coordinated by Professor Dr. Adelino Sanchez Ramos da Silva. The funds will be managed by the School's Research Support Center (CAP).Established in 2015, CAP aims to provide technical and administrative support to faculty members and scholarship holders throughout various stages of their research projects. Key responsibilities include budget planning, assistance with proposal submissions, financial management, imports, supplier payments, reporting, and inventory control. The CAP effectively reduces researchers' administrative burden and optimizes the management of research resources. This year's RTI resources will be allocated for the purchase of two items categorized as permanent equipment, benefiting the Laboratory of Exercise Physiology and Metabolism (LAFEM):Eppendorf ThermoMixer® F1.5 - a critical device for sample preparation and enzymatic reactions, offering precise temperature control, uniform mixing, and minimized cross-contamination risks.20" BRX Office LED Monitor (HDMI/VGA) - an essential support tool for visualizing experimental data, enhancing the use of analytical software and real-time monitoring systems. In addition to strengthening laboratory infrastructure, EEFERP actively promotes scientific ethics through its Research Ethics Committee (CEP), established in 2017, and the Animal Ethics Committee (CEUA), operational since 2014. These bodies are essential to ensuring ethical compliance in research involving human and animal subjects. The School also contributes to open science by regularly updating its academic output in the Digital Library of Intellectual Production (BDPI) and the USP Thesis and Dissertation Database, making scientific content broadly accessible to the public.EEFERP/USP houses nine specialized research laboratories and two sports facilities (Olympic and Multi-sport Gyms), which support both teaching and applied research activities. The RTI investment will further strengthen this infrastructure, promoting excellence in scientific research and supporting the advancement of impactful and innovative studies. (AU)
