Routes for the Brazilian Energy Transition: Biomethane and Green Hydrogen

Abstract

The transition to a cleaner and more sustainable energy matrix is ¿¿one of the greatest global challenges today. In this context, biomethane (BIO CH¿) and green hydrogen (H¿V) are emerging as key alternatives for replacing fossil fuels, contributing to the decarbonization of the energy sector. However, both routes face different challenges in terms of costs, logistics, technology and market penetration. This project aims to evaluate the biomethane and green hydrogen routes for the energy transition in Brazil, addressing production, distribution, storage costs and strategies for market consolidation, in addition to carrying out a comparative analysis between both at the end of the project.
